一直以來我都是使用底片機來記錄關於fixed gear 的靜態影像來說故事

這次第一次使用SONY HANDYCAM XR520 來記錄我對fixed gear 的態度與思惟,

真的是一台非常聰明的機器,由其它的微笑模式真的很有趣,記錄影像更是沒話說,

關於跟拍動像最怕的就是手震,這台機器的新科技足以應付類似手震的困擾,

感謝SONY公司提供了這台新機器讓我們使用記錄,也感謝何元彰老師的即興配樂！！

大家都會問我說,阿寶都在哪騎車阿！！

我........每天去哪都是騎自己的愛車,如果大家在街頭上看見我的車子鎖在路邊,

不要訝異！！我就在附近～～

Girls who play classical piano should be dressed in elegant clothing; girls who ride should put on skinny jeans with flats; girl who cook typically has the house wife appearance; girls who are into fashionable clothing are usually wild, mostly enjoy night life...etc.

People tend to stereotype others.

Sometimes if you think out of the box and be yourself, you might find life to be more care free.

“Did you just ride your bike in this?”
“Are you going to the beach?”
I’ve always heard comments like these.

There’s no rule saying only certain outfits can be worn in bike ridding.

You can ride your bike in fashionable clothing, stick with YOUR STYLE. Sweet, cool or sexy. You are the owner of the bike, don’t dress to fit into his/her world.

I still remember the first time when I sneaked into my Mom’s high heels. I walked in them happily, back and forth. From that day on, I’ve always loved heels, I then fell in the endless, magical black hole, in love with heels and stiletto. Heels have never been just an item placed in shoe cabinet. It’s one of the great inventions in human history. Heels are like a sharp, sexy, deadly piece of knife. It represents maturity, demonstrates self confidant, the most of all, it makes women concur their own pride deep down

I’ve never really sticked with one style in fashion, therefore I wear anything or everything when I go out for a ride. I ride only because I love to ride. I don’t know any fancy tricks, ridding in 6 inch (15.2cm) stiletto is one of my personal trick.

我們總會將既有的印象套用在絕大部份的人事物上。

有時候跳脫出那個框框做自己，或許會過得更自在。

“妳剛才是穿這樣騎車嗎?”
“妳該不會穿這樣騎車吧!”
“妳是要去海邊嗎?”
我常聽到類似的話。

沒有人說穿怎樣才能騎單車!

妳可以很時尚的騎著單車帶著自己原有的風格。或許是甜美，又或是帥氣、性感、粗獷的。妳是車的主人，所以不該是妳要遷就它。

還記得小時候第一次偷偷穿上媽媽的高跟鞋時，我一個人沾沾自喜地在陽台來回走過來走過去。從那天起，我深深地被高跟鞋的魅力吸引著，彷彿像被施了魔法似的，無可救藥地陷入這場永無止境的黑洞。高跟鞋對女人來說從來就不是擱置在鞋櫃裡毫無生命的物件。它是人類文明史上最最偉大的發明之一。就像是一把尖銳、性感、致命的匕首。有時意味著成熟，有時詮釋著自信，更讓女人征服了自己驕傲的心。

一直以來我沒有很固定的穿衣風格，也因此我常穿著各式各樣的鞋騎單車。騎車單純是因為一直以來我都愛騎車。我不會什麼華麗的特技，穿著6 吋〈 15.2 cm 〉高的高跟鞋騎車就是我的獨門絕技。

Copenhagen Cycle Chic began its bloglife back in June 2007 when jouranlist, film director and photographer Mikael Colville-Andersen decided to put a growing number of photos about Copenhagen's bicycle culture into one place on the internet.
A series of social documentary photos about Copenhagen started to include a number of shots of life in the World's Cycling Capital, including fashionable Copenhageners on their bicycles. The feedback about these photos was positive and there was clearly a growing interest abroad in seeing how the bicycle was an integral part of life in the Danish capital. Specifically about how Copenhageners have demystified the bicycle and use it without any form of bicycle 'gear'. Just as the bicycle was meant to be ridden when invented.
The blog took on a streetstyle form as it grew in popularity and the readership includes people interested in fashion as well as bicycles and bicycle culture.
Colville-Andersen has teamed up with various co-bloggers to bring different angles and perspectives to the blog and he welcomes the inclusion of guest photos sent in from around the world.
Since starting the blog and, not least, coining the phrase "Cycle Chic" the number of blogs and websites inspired by CCC has grown explosively throughout 2008.
The bicycle has served to liberate the working classes and, in particular, women back in the tail-end of the 19th century. In the post-war years, the bicycle was relegated to being merely a toy or piece of sports equipment. Copenhagen Cycle Chic aims to take back the bike culture by showing how the bicycle once again can be an integral, respectable and feasible transport form, free of sports clothes and gear, and how it can play a vital role in increasing the life quality in cities.

Like the whole world, I was absolutely devastated and lost for words seeing the death of Michael Jackson broadcasted on news early this morning. His music walked us through different stages of our lives. I always remember singing his song 'Heal the World' in primary school music class. Michael Jackson's left us, but his music and talent will live on forever.

May his soul rest in peace.

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009)[2] was an American recording artist and entertainer. The diamond-frame safety bicycle gave women unprecedented mobility, contributing to their emancipation in Western nations. As bicycles became safer and cheaper, more women had access to the personal freedom they embodied, and so the bicycle came to symbolize the New Woman of the late 19th century, especially in Britain and the United States.

The bicycle was recognized by 19th-century feminists and suffragists as a "freedom machine" for women. American Susan B. Anthony said in a New York World interview on February 2, 1896: "Let me tell you what I think of bicycling. I think it has done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world. It gives women a feeling of freedom and self-reliance. I stand and rejoice every time I see a woman ride by on a wheel...the picture of free, untrammeled womanhood." In 1895 Frances Willard, the tightly-laced president of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, wrote a book called How I Learned to Ride the Bicycle, in which she praised the bicycle she learned to ride late in life, and which she named "Gladys", for its "gladdening effect" on her health and political optimism. Willard used a cycling metaphor to urge other suffragists to action, proclaiming, "I would not waste my life in friction when it could be turned into momentum."

Male anger at the freedom symbolized by the New (bicycling) Woman was demonstrated when the male undergraduates of Cambridge University showed their opposition to the admission of women as full members of the university by hanging a woman bicyclist in effigy in the main town square. This was as late as 1897. The bicycle craze in the 1890s also led to a movement for so-called rational dress, which helped liberate women from corsets and ankle-length skirts and other restrictive garments, substituting the then-shocking bloomers.

19世紀的女權主義者公認單車為女性的“自由機器”。 1896年2月2日紐約世界採訪，美國蘇珊灣安東尼說： “讓我告訴你，我對單車的想法。我覺得單車比世界上任何事物都給予女性更多的解放。它給女性自由的感覺和自主權。我看著一位女性騎著單車...這是一個自由的象徵，不受限的女人。 “ 1895年弗朗西斯威拉德，嚴格費城總統婦女基督教戒酒聯合會，寫了一本書叫做我如何學會騎單車，她讚揚了她在晚年所學會騎乘的單車，並命名為 “樂活號”就其“促使快樂的效應,帶給她的健康和政治觀更多正面的元素"。威拉德用自行車隱喻鼓吹其他女性主義者採取行動宣布， “我不會浪費我生命在人與人之間的摩擦，因為它可以是一種動力。 ”

新的（單車）女性以及男性面對自由象徵的憤怒表露無疑，男性劍橋大學生於主要城市廣場絞刑一名女子騎乘單車的肖像。這是在1897年當時。1890年的自行車熱潮也引發了所謂合理著裝的女性運動，幫助脫離馬甲和長裙和其他限制性服裝，取而代之的是在當時震驚一時的七分褲。

A month ago, I quit my job working for an American company.

Everyone was shocked
Under current economic situation, everyone wondered ‘Kaori, have you gone out of your mind?’

Someone has once told me
“If you are opening up a shop, just to fulfill your dream, I’d suggest you not to start the business!”

Hardly anyone knows what kind of shop I’m planning on opening
Everyone’s instinct towards ‘Swirly Whirly’ is ‘Are you importing ice cream?’

The past few years, since I came back to Taiwan
I’ve always tried to pay back for all the mistakes I’ve made when I was young

I know what I’ve done in the past, has brought my parents a lot of sleepless nights.

I love them dearly; all I wanted is for them to be happy and proud of me.

Therefore, I worked in IT business for a few years.

Until one day, my Mom rang me from Australia.

“Why don’t you start your own business?” she asked.

Suddenly, I had an idea.

I’ve always loved bicycles
The bike shops I’ve visited in the past, none of them are anywhere close to the word ‘cute’.

.Why can’t I open up a cute bike shop?

There are so many guys out there ridding Fixed Gear, why can’t I create an atmosphere for girls to join in?

It is then, I dragged .our shop technician- Burner into the business.

.We started looking at shop location, started facing every problem that comes up.

.Firstly, since my dearest Daddy won’t allow me to have my own business, I had to pretend I’m still working at my previous job, while I go out hunting for my dream shop location.

We refurnished the entire shop, from head to toe, ceiling to flooring. Every bit was done by us.

Every corner you see in this shop, comes from the bottom of our heart.

Every painting on the wall is done by myself and our artist- M/AO.

I once had a dream when I was a child.
I’ve always wanted a stair full of rainbow.

I made my childhood dream come true.

We learn as we grow, we start forgetting that none stoppable motivation we once had when we were young.

We forget our childhood dreams
We forget the reason that we live and breath

June 20th is Swirly Whirly’s grand opening day.

I want to thank my Mom & Tiffy for all their undisclosed encouragement and support.

Great thanks to Burner, who’s heart is dedicated to this shop.
It’s great knowing you! Even thought I’m not a good boss, but thank you for your patience and support in helping me grow.

Lastly, a big thank you to our artist- M/AO, who quit her job and moved up from Taichung to Taipei.

Every shop has its own story behind the scene.

Maybe to fulfill a great dream or to simply share the joy of life with people.

I don’t have the greatest business establish philosophy or experience to share. I’m just a girl with a bunch of Chihuahua, wanting to share my love for bikes and my own sense of fashion with you.

一個月前, 我毅然決然地辭掉外商的工作

當時大家都很傻眼
在經濟不景氣的大環境下, 大家都很納悶 ‘香織, 妳是瘋了嗎?’

有人對我說過
“如果妳只是為了夢想, 那我勸妳不要開店!”

幾乎沒幾個人知道我到底是要開什麼店
聽到 'Swirly Whirly', 大家的直覺是 '妳是要進口冰淇淋嗎?'

這幾年回台灣
我一直為年少時的判逆在贖罪

我知道自己過去的為所欲為
帶給父母親很多失眠的夜晚

他們是我最愛的人
我只是單純的希望他們快樂

因此就這樣我在外商電子業工作了好幾年

一直到有一天
和母親越洋通話

她問我
“妳怎麼不自己創業?”

我突然有了想法

我那麼愛騎腳踏車
腳踏車店都不可愛

我為什麼不開一家很可愛的腳踏車店?

那麼多男生在騎Fixed Gear
為什麼不能創造一個女生也會想加入的環境?

就這樣, 我把店內工友- 瑪莉寶給拖下水

我們開始找店面

開始面對重重的困難

先是必須假裝我還在外商公司上班
好安撫老爸的情緒

一邊找到地點
開始動手, 全盤自己裝潢

從天花板, 牆面到地板
我們全部動手自己來

店裡的每一個角落都感受得到我們的用心

每一面牆都是我和店裡的美工人員- 阿妙一起動手畫的

小時候我曾經有一個夢想
我一直想要一個彩虹的樓梯

我時現了自己兒時的願望

我們往往會因為長大
因為懂得太多, 而忘記年輕時那種不顧一切的衝勁

忘了年幼時的那些夢想
忘了活著, 呼吸著是為了什麼

6月20日的今天, 是Swirly Whirly 開幕的日子

在此我想特別謝謝一路偷偷給予我精神支持的媽咪 & Tiffy

還有一心一意為本店打拼的- 瑪莉寶
認識你真好! 雖然我不是一個好老闆, 但很謝謝你一路包容並協助我成長

最後要謝謝很給我面子的- 美工人員 (阿妙)
整個也是豁出去, 工作直接辭掉從台中搬來台北幫忙店務

I’ve always loved the feeling of the breeze, while ridding on my bike.

From Brisbane, Australia to Taipei, Taiwan
Since I don’t know how to ride a scooter, can’t really drive (not licenced to drive, was told not to drive), I’ve always rode my bike around Ming-Sheng district.

From my first baby pink bike
To my black sILLGEY with sparkly wheels, named- Cheerilee.

It was all like yesterday, when I just arrived Taiwan

Not familiar with anything here, can’t even balance on my bike.

I managed to run into trees
Or have someone on the back seat, running into walls together.

Once, there was this guy on his scooter, he stopped immediately, due to my horrific way of ridding, like I own the streets, the birthday cake he had with him flew away...dropped right in the middle of the street.

And I said to my friend
“It’s ok! It’ll be a unforgettable birthday for him! I’m sure he’s very thankful for what I’ve just done!”

It’s been four years since I landed on this island

All this time, my bike followed me everywhere

She’s just like my pet

We walk and stop
Wondering around with a curious mind, to those places we’ve never been to in the past.

一直以來, 我都很愛騎腳踏車迎著風的感覺

從澳洲到台灣這個地方

因為不會騎車更不會開車, 在民生社區我一直是靠著腳踏車代步

從剛下飛機的那台小粉紅

到後來黑色, 輪子撒滿亮亮的Cheerilee

還記得剛回台灣人生地不熟, 連騎腳踏車平衡感都有點問題

不是騎一騎撞樹

就是載人載到兩個人一起去撞牆

有一次還害一位機車騎士緊急煞車

車上的生日蛋糕整個往外飛

我還大言不慚地對朋友說“沒關係啦! 這樣他才會有一個難忘的生日! 他一定會感激我的!”

算一算, 四年就這樣過去了!

這些日子腳踏車陪著我這個大路痴去了好多地方

牠就像我的寵物一樣

我們一起走走停停一起帶著一顆好奇的心去那些沒去過得地方
